Another clothing reconstruction

Here is a tutorial for how this person used a regular t shirt and turned it into a onesie for her baby. How awesome! i know i have lots of t's and this is a wonderful idea.

I wish

Always on the prowl for interesting landscape and garden ideas. I came across this amazing thing. I could only imaging having that in your yard with a nice sitting room in it. some wicker couches. real comfy and maybe some lights on the inside. I could picture the romanic evening I could spend in there. But i could imagine how much work went into it!

Must try!

I am always looking to make a vegetable more exciting. I am not very talented in vegetable carving but when I found the most funny and disturbing thing that can grace your veggie platter I thought "Problem solved!" Great conversational piece !

Recycle glass containers

I am in love with this idea. I have tons of glass baby food jars, condiment bottles and more so i have been thinking on what to do with them. This is a nice and cheap craft you can do for the window, for the bathroom, to hang or to just to have on a shelf.

Yummy? Or just pretty

Feta with watermelon? I am not too sure about it. I have seen people do watermelon salsa with it but I am totally hesitant to waste Greek salad potential over something I have not tried before. But for this recipe I think the presentation is the pretty thing. What if you were to substitute the cheese with blueberries. How cute would that be? All just for presentation.

Duck, Duck, Duck Tape

Who doesn't love duck tape? I have seen a few things done with it, lots of fixing, lots of mending, and now art! You have to check out the gems from the galleries of

Good deal!

I am often looking for great buys as for i am on a very tight budget, well, not really. I am just Down right cheap! When I worked at a clothing store I was in charge of doing the price changing for sales. I found that they were selling things for unreasonable markups. And I thought to myself that it was wrong that there was such a markup. One example… we had plain t shirts. 100% cotton. no more no less.. nothing special about it at all and they were 30$. Why? I can find a craft store and get a great t shirt blank, 100% cotton, no special cut for a few bucks.

Now it is coming to the season change. soon we will be wearing sweaters and long sleeve tops. Those can get real pricey. I found this store that has a reasonable price for those items. 15$. that is it. 15 $ per item. Jeans, shirts, swimsuits, sweaters, dresses and more. How awesome is that?

ans as for my pick from the store. It is a hard call because I have found a ton of things that i have always thought were cute but could never see myself shelling out 40$ for. But for the time being i have found this top to be the one i would get first.

So what could be better? Maybe a 10$ store? I will have to search but if I find one I will post it.

Home made planter

I had an empty window and some miniature peace Lilly plants that needed dividing. So with a yogurt cup, some heavy yarn, glue and pins I made a small planter to hang from the window latch.

I hope this inspires you !

This gets a rating of NIFTY!

I am definatly on the track of decorating my entire house with plants. not only am I a collector, but i am a person who loves the calming effects that the green has and the uplifting feel of gardening indoors during the depressing winter when I get depressed when I can't get my hands dirty outdoors. I have 15 well established plants indoors in different planters and looking to just branch out soon.

But I fell in love with this planter I found online. I will  eventually need it having filled every ledge, corner, and leftover counterspace with plants.

Plant Like the rich people

I am sick and tired of trying to decorate and there is a hindering factor. CA$H.

Well I just do not give up completely. When i want to put something in my house or garden I search all resources. I first think of how I can make it on the cheap then buy it on the cheap.

First I go through things that I have on hand, then move to things I toss out, then think of places whee you can buy on the cheap.

For instance I want to have large planters in my yard. the type I want are running anywhere from 30 $ on up. but the cheaper end of 30$ does not get anything that matches my landscape design. So first I think on how I can make it on the cheap (must be cheaper than the cheapest pot you can buy in the store) so I found a tutorial on making planter.

But then you think that maybe you might have something else around the house that you can use that is already a container that you can punch drainage holes in and maybe add some paint and sealant to it to make it a planter such as, formula or coffee cans, plastic dishes, old bowls, pots, If it can hold a handful of soil or more then it can become a planter. Remember it is best to do this route for the reduce recycle and reuse aspect.

Here is a an idea for all the old shoes that are lying around.

Then there are great resources for used.. This takes a lot of time but search your local garage sales. I have found a lot of pots that can be revived with a coat of paint or a good scrubbing.

But as for the next dilemma I have.. WHen do I have time??
