Low calorie food

Ok, i am back on the diet train again. I have done all the starting measurements for body fat, hip/waist ratio, BMI, RMR, BMR, and so on. I am in the "slightly overweight range, but not totally unhealthy". This makes me somewhat happy at 28 years of age and having had two large pregnancies (me being large, not the kids) . But I gained a lot of weight from anti depressants which make you not care that much about stuff like how you look or care what a certain snacking habit will do to your body. So i kicked the anti depressants, decided to actually take care of my issues in therapy. I had quit smoking last ctober so i had gained about 15 lbs after that, but well worth the weight gain. I am in the process of lessening alcohol consumption now. I was drinking one to a few drinks a night after the kids went to be to help me de-stress and sleep (this is what took place of cigarettes, antidepressants, and sleeping pills) I am now on a strong incentive to quit drinking because i found out that my shot of vodka in fruit juice was over 90 calories and the juice i was using was 80. It adds up fast!

So now i am almost clean, maybe a little dehydrated, but i am on a good first couple weeks of my diet. For my diet process i found my balance at last

Anyways, now i am mad. I am trying to find food to eat that will make me feel human. I think that the key is finding food you can pick off the shelf at the grocery store that is decent in price, actual low calorie and low fat, and good sized portions.

Weight watchers meals are not good! Yes they are real food, some of them taste ok, but as for portions… i can find one food that equals 5 times the size of that and has less calories. Please think of changing the way you make these. They do not need cheese they do not need tons of noodle, this is where the calories add up. And this is not just weight watcher. Also watch out for the sodium content on these, it is up there.

Soups are not good. Yes they are 100 calories or less (PER SERVING) but the sodium kills you in the end and so does the fat. You cannot find one that has low levels of all three.

Meat is not good. Almost pure fat and calories. Even in one cup of cooked chicken breast has over 200 calories and 5+ grams of fat.

100 calorie snack packs… Come on! nice to have the calories and portions all counted out for you but give me a break you spent how much money for the bag of essentially equils one real cookie and you paid 5x the amount of money for it.

Anyways, what i really am saying is that for diets there is not much out there that s fair. High prices for whole, natural and diet foods make for everyone to spend a fortune to be light and healthy. More science is going into making kid's cereal different colors, shapes, tastes and textures than into food that could be bigger in quantity, low calorie, and low fat.

What are we doing wrong? What am I doing wrong?
