"Geotrax toy review" by GeoTrax Blog

I totally agree, I have a son and a daughter who both love playing GeoTrax. The little people they have added to the sets in the last year have just increased my kids interest in playing with the toys...of course, for some reason they like to fight over the "pink lady".

They are easy to set up and very durable.

"Reconstruct clothing: Extending kids clothes" by Cheryl

Hi
Glad to see someone talking about recycling clothing. I have been doing this for years in many ways. My husbands pants were always recycled into pants for my 2 sons. I have recently bought overruns and flawed sweatpants taken them apart and made nice heavy sweatpants for my grandchildren. I also do this with clothes from Goodwill . I have found the guaze dresses made in India and used the skirts for making tops matching 2 similar fabric/colors. Everyone wants to know where I got them.
Keep up the good work and have fun doing it.

"Some place I would like to visit" by Grungie

I just found your blog through GetCrafty and was tickled to see pictures of Michigan! I'm a transplanted Michigander myself. If you're looking for places to visit, I'd suggest Beaver Island. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there. It's out in Lake Michigan and you get there by taking a ferry from Charlevoix. It's very pretty, lots of nature stuff to look at, canoing, things like that.

"Guide to reconstucting clothing" by Philanna

Hi Krista! Great Ideas! I'd like to add a little something too. Take some of your favorite clothing that can't be selvaged and cut into squares for sewing quilts or wallhangings. Kind regards, Philanna

"Guide to reconstucting clothing" by Sherry

I'm impressed, Krista. I guess I have been "reconstructing" clothes for nearly 40 years and didn't realize it. I am almost always pleased with the results, but I was embarrassed, I guess, and never told anyone I use old stuff (sheets, towels, reworked clothing, even a pair of old curtains into a pretty dress). If I had only thought to call it "reconstructing!" It reminds of the term "leftovers"...if I think of food as leftovers, I usually don't enjoy it as much as the first time. Now that my kids are raised, however, I think I am very clever to make twice as much every time I cook so I only have to cook half as often. (I do love to cook, though.) I think I'll go reconstruct something for a granddaughter right now! Thanks for the term. I love it. I'll be checking back. Sherry
